Step into your creative journey with “Move a Mile”

On Sunday 27 September, ‘Move a Mile’ comes to Stockport, a free, one-mile journey through the town centre that fills the streets with artists, street art, skateboarding, food, makers, music, and wellbeing.  

The journey will run between the two GRIT Studios with the streets lined with an exciting mix of independent businesses and artists, encouraging Stopfordians to come along, explore the area and get to know their community better. 

And don’t get confused and think it’s all about drawing and painting, there will be creatives from all facets of the creative community taking part, from SK1 Records and The Runaway Brewery, to Stockport County Community Trust and Send It Skate Park. From Merseyway Shopping Centre and Totally Stockport, to Swansway Motor Group and obvs the lovely folk here at Cityheart so there’ll be loads to explore and discover. 

Visitors can stick on some headphones and join the crazy silent disco, get messy with a spray-paint workshop, watch live street art being created before their eyes, or see cool breakdancers bust out some moves.
