A guide to everything Stopford House Party

August 15th 2026

The wait is finally over… Stopford House Party lands on our doorstep this Sunday, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it.

This brand-new day festival, taking place from 12 till 6pm, is different to anything else Stockport has seen before. Whilst it does have the usual lineup up of fresh local music and mouth-watering food stalls, this festival places a heavy focus on creativity with a host of different workshops and activities through the day for attendees to participate in. Think: Glastonbury Greencrafts Village, but with a little less grass and a lot more cool.

It’s especially perfect for families who’ve hit that mid-summer slump and are running out of ideas to keep the kids entertained, especially on a budget – as this incredible day out doesn’t have to cost a penny.

Here is the official schedule of what to expect on the day:

Workshops

12-2.30: Urban Sketching with Len Grant

Award-winning artist Len will be sharing his top tips and tricks for drawing urban spaces, helping you have a go at creating your own fun, quirky sketches. He’ll be honing in on the brilliant brutalist setting of the festival, taking inspiration from its bold shapes, weird angles and Stopfordian character.

12-5: Badge making with Local Press Club

Local Press Club usually operate out of PINK in the town centre, but this Sunday they’re bringing their expertise to Stopford House Party, with a free drop-in session running throughout the day to make your own unique badges.

12-5: Kite making/flying

Get stuck into a bit of kite making and learn how to build your very own flying masterpiece. From picking your colours to choosing the most airline shape, you’ll have everything you need to make a kite that’s completely your own.

12-5: Clay making workshop

This is definitely one you won’t want to miss. Learn how to make your own clay, then use it to create as many pots, plates, vases, ornaments and trinkets as your heart desires. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll be sorted for birthday gifts for the next year!

1-1.30: Guided photo walk with Steve Marland

2-2.30: Guided photo walk with Steve Marland

Renowned photographer Stephen Marland has a particular eye for built environments. He’ll be leading attendees around some of the best spots, sharing tips on angles, lighting and how to capture the historic features of Stopford House at their best.

Food (All day)

Runaway Brewery

The legendary Stockport craft beer specialists will be keeping the drinks flowing throughout the day, serving up hoppy classics and fruity ales, complimented by their gorgeous sourdough pizzas.

Auntie Lou’s

It wouldn’t be a Stockport festival without some proper English grub, and Auntie Lou’s will make sure that box is well and truly ticked. She’ll be there with an endless supply of hearty, comforting food that’ll remind you of your nan, keeping tummies full and happy all day long.

Stockport provisions

If you’re not after a big meal, this might be the one for you. Known for their creamy cheeses and gorgeous cured meats, their deli selection is perfect for a bit of picky food throughout the day. Grab a board, share it with your pals and pair it with a glass of something lovely.

Hustle Coffee

Thinking, where am I gonna get my caffeine fix? Not to worry, Hustle Coffee has got you covered, serving up beautifully roasted beans and some seriously stunning latte art, the perfect pick-me-up, as well as a cracking Insta photo.
